The Silence Kit
A Strange Labor
A Strange Labor
COMPLETELY INTOLERABLE
A dark journey is being taken by The Silence Kit out of Conshohocken. “A New Disappointment” is a slow, gritty alt-rock about a person who is distraught over a breakup. A Stranger Labor has a depressing vibe along with incomprehensible vocals. It will definitely lull a person to sleep after listening. -Leslie Snyder

I've listened to this CD and seen the band live several times, and these songs have plenty of energy. It's moody music, but not bored-sounding or relaxing.
They would probably appeal to fans of the '80s and early '90s alternative rock more than fans of current shoegazing or emo bands. There's a lot of Cure and Pixies-tinged moodiness.
Seems like Leslie should stick with her Panic at the Disco cd's
